I am planning on going to Colfax on Tuesday. I plan on leaving St. Croix Falls a little after 5, heading south through Amery. If anyone wants to ride along, send me an email or respond on Groupanizer. Good luck to those who plan on going to Stillwater on Wednesday. Keep ringing those chords. Mark.

Hi Guys: While traveling south, we stopped in Asheville, North Carolina for several days. I found a chapter by searching on the Harmony Society website, and got to sing with the Land Of The Sky Chorus on Tuesday night. Great fun to sit in with another chorus! Their director is a guy named Chuck Greene, who is somewhat famous for something or other, I think. Keep on singing! Dave

Thanks to all the came to our Bonfire. It was an incredible evening with fantastic weaher, exceptional food, and the Riverside Swing Band was awesome.

The weekend schedule:
Friday - Setup at the dinnerglow/afterglow site at 5 pm. Anyone who can get to the Milltown Community to help set up tables and chairs would be a great help.
Set up at the school at 6 pm. Anyone else who can get there to help set up chairs, etc., would also be appreciated.
Practice (last run through) at the school at 7pm. We shouldn't be there for more than 1 1/2 hours or so.
Saturday - Be there by noon for last minute set up, mic testing that you may want to do, etc.

We are currently working on the second set of church sing outs, scheduled for Sunday, July 17th in the Unity School area. Duane Stone has offered to work on the arrangements and he is actively setting up the schedule. Please mark your calendars to attend on the 17th. Thanks, Mark

Here are a few pics from the VLQ Singout on April 17th.

Gentlemen:
Historically, we've done the second church singout in August. But this year, we have quite a few activities in August (Luck, St. Croix Falls, Twins game), and NOTHING in July. Last night at the board meeting, we talked about potentially singing for churches in July. Potential dates are the 17th and 24th. (I think the VLQ already sings the afternoon of the 24th). Our location is slated to be the Unity area.

Had 17 or 18 (you all sang well) wonderful singers particpate in the Interfaith Caregivers annual concert fund raiser. Before I left we were asked to come back next year! Thanks to all of you for taking time out of your weekend to perform. The VLQ is getting better and better. We were a big hit with the crowd. You guys are great! Next sing out is in Amery on June 25th. Downtown Threads on Maple St in Amery.

For this Sunday's church singouts:
Meet at the Deronda cemetery at 8:30 - first church is at Deronda at 9 am. Uniform is maroon shirt, tan pants, black belt, black shoes. We expect to be done by about 10:30. Songs are Beautiful Savior and Alleluia. We may also use Go Tell It On The Mountain.
Of course, all roads lead to Deronda, but one method as described by Mapquest is below:
